We are going live!!!

For those who are on MySpace.com will already know we are going Live.  Ever since I was told I should find a way to some how try to read to folks and share my craft, I was brain storming.  First I did a very rough CD for my Dad's dad, my G placed irand Father who has been placed in a around the clock type home for the elderly.  My Grand father had been placed in this type home as he lost his sight due to Diabetes.  It was a huge blow to my Grand Dad as he never had Diabetes as a child or even in his mid years, he was stricken down with Diabetes in his late years, which was a huge blow to him.  My Grand Father was always on the go.  He is a house builder, a fishermen, a farmer, Husband, father, uncle, grand dad and even a great grandfather. We are currently working on laying tracks for raising funds to sponsor 10 Seeing Eye Dogs, 5 for the USA and 5 for Canada.  These dogs come to about $10,000.00 per dog from puppy to adult dog when they are placed with their person they are trained to assist.  The only hitch with the sponsoring is, they will be placed with individuals that have lost their site to Diabetes.

My Grand Dad is still with us and needing around the clock nursing care.  Thjis past Christmas I was able to visit him in the Nursing home where he lives.  I had all I could do to hold back the tears, as I watched the nurse trying to get him up so we could visit.  I always remembered my Grand Dad working hard to provide for his family.  I remember when I was just a little girl about 5 years old, my Mom would take us down to Moose Harbour so we could see my Gramps when they came back from fishing, we got to pick what ever fish we wanted.  Nothing better than picking your own dinner.

My Grandfather was a fisherman along with all my Uncles, he also built houses, he was even interviewed and published  in the Architect Digest magazine for his unique style of houses he designed.  I am very proud of my family history...both sides of my history are very noble.  My Mom's Dad was a sailor on one of the Corvettes that bombed submarines in World War II.  After the war he was employed with Bowaters Pulp and Papermill, in Nova Scotia.  My Grand Mothers were both very wonderful people that everyone loved.

More coming so please stay tuned...
